It's time to dust off our party hats because the infamous Oxford Castle is turning 950 this month! So many years... can you imagine the memories it has? All those years acting as a castle, a prison, a place to stay... if walls could talk.
To celebrate such a big milestone, the Oxford Preservation Trust and the Oxford Castle Committee (and more) will be holding a free event!
To commemorate this anniversary there will be a son et lumière show where there will be a stunning projection onto the Castle bringing the rich and varied history of the building to life. The projection will be 7 minutes long played continuously between 6pm – 10pm on November 19th.
The projection is a piece called CHRONICLE by Ross Ashton (Projection Studio) and Karen Monid (Sound Artist) and is a free event, but you must have a ticket to enter.
