Get your calendar ready, because this festive season is jam-packed with Christmas Markets. Little, large and everything in between, we're sure you'll find something to spend your chocolate money on in your local area. From festive crafts to foodie delights, there's enough to keep you busy leading up to the big day in Oxford and beyond.
From November 19th-21st, expect yuletide stalls fully stocked and decked out in traditional style and all traders wearing Victorian dress. A chance to step back in time and experience a vintage shopping trip. No Scrooges please!
On November 27th, Bicester will be transformed into a winter wonderland. A host of activities are at your fingertips including street entertainers, an ice rink, toddler rides, nativity farm animals, and a visit from Father Christmas. There will be lantern making workshops during the day followed by a lantern parade after dark. It's also the start of Bicester Village's Christmas shopping extravaganza.
An evening celebrating all things Dickens and Christmas. Expect lots of lovely seasonal stalls from local and charity sellers plus lots of activities before the big switch-on. There'll be real reindeer, plus donkeys from the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary.
There's plenty of Christmas cheer on the cusp of the Cotswolds this year. The quaint town of Woodstock, home to Blenheim Palace, will have a lovely Festive Fayre on November 26th full of stalls from local artisan makers. If you want something a bit grander, Blenheim Palace is hosting a glorious Christmas market from Nov 19th- Dec 19th with decor themed around The Nutcracker.
Returning to Broad Street year is Oxford City Centre's Christmas Market. The ultimate wooden chalet experience for Christmas lovers offering local and national gifts for everyone. Expect the streets to be filled with carol singers, the aroma of mulled wine and the sight of the impressive Christmas Tree. Starting on December 9th.
Cowley Road rejoice! The Oxford Blue are hosting an intimate Christmas Fair on December 12th. During the day, there will be artisan's from the area selling delicious food and quirky gifts and in the evening you can book (by email) for a meal and festive songs. Get cosy!
