Martyr's Mark
Commemoration Cross
The X is said to mark the exact spot where three Protestant clergymen were charged with heresy by Tudor Queen, Queen Mary and executed at that very spot in Oxford, now marked with a brick cross in the middle of the road.
Situated at the southern end of St Giles', near the intersection with Magdalen Street and Beaumont Street, the memorial stands as a testament to the city's rich religious history.
