It’s that time of year again where we get the chance to dress up and celebrate all things terrifying - and a great excuse to down pumpkin spice lattes!


That’s right, Halloween is ready for you and we’ve collected 13 spooky activities for ghouls great and small.



The Ashmolean are offering an alternative to the traditional jump scares this year by teaching you how to draw horror characters of Manga.

 

Already famed for being one of the most haunted place in Britain, The Oxford Castle + Prison are treating us to walking tours too scary for the day time and magic potion making for the kids.

 

Bat trails, monster hunts, fire performances and a ghost train! Visit Blenheim this Halloween and enjoy the spectacular grounds whilst indulging in horror-tastic events.

 

There’s nothing better than a traditional pumpkin picking session and this year, Millet’s Farm do not disappoint. They also have a Halloween circus and a kid-friendly Halloween disco at the playground. FUN!

 

Want some strange magic this Halloween? Head over to Fairy Tale Farm and become a spooky sleuth by solving mysteries. You can also pick up a free pumpkin.

 

Head to the Cotswold town of Burford and join Oxfordshire walking tour legend Bill Spectre for an evening of scares and illusions.

 

See Cogges Farm transformed this October into an interactive witch house. There’s also a spooky trail, halloween treats in the kitchen and black cats roaming the farm yard.

 

For those that want a traditional afternoon tea with a ghoulish twist, head to Waddesdon Manor for ghost meringues, mummified gingerbread men and special Halloween tea whilst dining in an eerie atmosphere.

 

Oxford’s infamous music venue The Bullingdon on Cowley Road is funking up Halloween this year with a disco that’ll make you dance to the bone. Fancy dress encouraged.

 

Immerse yourself in the beautiful Waterperry Gardens and search for the hidden scarecrows amongst the grounds. A tranquil Halloween trail for all the family.
